Indonesian Cuisine is simply awesome with so many influences infusing together to create so many classic dishes
Ajam Panggang is a roast chicken seasonings nicknamed Dragons Breath but don't worry this is not that hot compared to some of our products, but certainly a nice taste of heat
To create this classic dish :
- Mix 1 Tablespoon of Ajam Panggang seasoning with 2 Tbs of Ketjap Manis (Indonesian thick sweet soy sauce if not available then any rich soy sauce)
- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and Salt to taste
- Stir all the ingredients together and then apply to the skin of your chicken - either whole or pieces and marinate for at least 2 hours
- Cover chicken peices with a little butter and cover the tray with foil
- Cook at 180c medium oven until chicken is tender then at 220c for 20 minutes to crisp skin
- Serve with rice or noodles and veg of your choice
