Vegetable Baltis come with lots of sauce, all the water in the veg will make a great curry balti sauce
Vegetable Balti like our other balti seasonings can be used withall types of veg you like, it is a flavour base that works across the board
Balti dishes are simple to make, fry an onion, add the spice mix, your choice of veg and some tomatoes, season with salt and all done as quick as that
Serve traditionally with flat breads, but rice and all the wonderful Indian trimmings are always good, need a quick meal in the week done! Want to create good clean curries with the extras at the weekend, done! Baltis are that simple
When making veg baltis it is best to pre cook certain vegetables, potatoes and root veg can take a long to cook through, so its either simmering for an hour or so and quick boil the chopped veg and add during the balti curry cooking
To Make a Balti for 1 person meal (ratio up for more), you will need:
Oil or Ghee Butter
Finely chop 1 medium Onion
Either fresh tomatoes chopped or tinned chopped tomatoes
Can use yogurt instead of tomatoes or both
Choice of veg
Flat Breads to serve
Coriander to sprinkle in
Instructions, Fry the onion on a low heat to prevent burning, fry until translucent and soft
Add 1 teaspoon of Vegetable Balti Seasoning, you can add more if you prefer a stronger spice flavour later, season with your choice of salt
Turn the heat up and stir adding the tomatoes and veg
Stir the ingredients on a medium heat until the sauce comes together and the veg is cooked through, 5 -10 mins normally depending on veg type
When you take off the heat using our dried coriander leaf pinch and sprinkle into the sauce, stir through and serve

Nice but strong
This spice mix is really tasty and smells great, but had a bit of an effect on our stomach the first time. Will use less next time.
