The Jalapeño Chichimeca is a chilli variety from Mexico that is extremely robust. It matures in red, has clear furrows and is heavily corked. The pods of the chilli reach a size of up to 10 cm. In contrast to other jalapeño varieties, they are less hot but have an intense flavour and a fruity, delicious paprika aroma. The fruit walls of the chillies are very strong and corked.
In general, jalapeño chillies are ideal for Tex-Mex dishes, frying, smoking and also for making salsa, sauces or for cooking
