The Habanero Ata Big Chilli is a relatively large Habanero type with an intense flavour. This variety is also known as "congo pepper" and probably originates from Africa. The bushy plants bear many of the 5 x 5 cm large fruits, which resemble small peppers with smooth, wrinkled, thin walls. They contain plenty of juice, an extraordinary fruity flavour and a strong heat. In the kitchen they are typically used for making sauces and marinades, but due to their thin fruit walls they are also good for drying and making into chili powder.
